Chi siamo?
Ciao a tutti! Siamo i ragazzi di Students For Humanity, un'associazione studentesca di volontariato che dal 2011 anni supporta la gestione di una scuola professionale (Vocational Training Center) nel villaggio di Wasa, in Tanzania, con l'obiettivo di assicurare un soddisfacente livello di educazione a 75 studenti. La vera ambizione del progetto Working for Wasa è di raggiungere l’autosufficienza della scuola, riuscendo a creare un impatto socio-economico sull’intero villaggio di Wasa.
Perché ci serve il tuo aiuto?
Purtroppo, il 1 novembre 2023 la cucina dove i nostri studenti preparano tutti i giorni i loro pasti è crollata. Tutto ciò che è rimasto è soltanto un cumulo di macerie. I ragazzi e le ragazze del VTC adesso sono costretti a trovare maniere alternative di cucinare, spesso in balia del meteo che sta progressivamente peggiorando con l’avanzare della stagione delle piogge.
La cucina rappresenta il cuore della nutrizione scolastica. Senza una cucina funzionante, i ragazzi rischiano di non avere accesso a pasti adeguati e di mettere a rischio la loro salute nell’usare metodi alternativi spesso pericolosi e malsani.
Urge quindi un intervento rapido e deciso, e ogni donazione può aiutarci a fare la differenza. Con il tuo aiuto possiamo restituire ai nostri studenti un luogo sicuro e adatto per cucinare.
Destinazione dei fondi
La somma raccolta sarà necessaria per coprire tutte le spese di ricostruzione della cucina, in particolare del piano cottura. I restanti fondi verranno investiti nell’acquisto di nuovi materiali da cucina e attrezzature per incrementare la sicurezza e funzionalità degli spazi.
Ogni donazione, grande o piccola, può fare la differenza e ci avvicina al nostro obiettivo. Ogni condivisione sui social media, ogni parola sparsa tra amici e familiari, tutto ciò contribuirà a farci raggiungere la meta.

Who are we?
Hi everyone!!! We are Students For Humanity, a student volunteer association that has been supporting the management of a vocational school (Vocational Training Center) in the village of Wasa, Tanzania, since 2011, with the goal of ensuring a satisfactory level of education for 75 students. The purpose of the Working for Wasa project is to achieve the school’s self-sufficiency, succeeding in creating a socio-economic impact on the entire village of Wasa.
Why do we need your help?
Unfortunately, on November 1, 2023, the kitchen where our students used to prepare their meals every day collapsed. All that is left is just a pile of rubble. The VTC boys and girls are now forced to find alternative ways of cooking, often at the mercy of the weather, which is getting progressively worse as the rainy season progresses.
The kitchen represents the heart of school nutrition. Without a functioning kitchen, the students risk not having access to adequate meals and putting their health at risk in using alternative methods that are often dangerous and unhealthy.
Therefore, a quick and decisive action is urgently needed, and every donation can help us make a difference. With your help, we can restore a safe and suitable place for our students to cook.
Destination of funds
The amount raised will be needed to cover all expenses for the reconstruction of the kitchen, especially the kitchen stove.The remaining funds will be invested in the purchase of new kitchen materials and equipment to increase the safety and functionality of the space.
Every donation, large or small, can make a difference and bring us closer to our goal. Every share on social media, every word spread among friends and family, all will help bring us closer to our aim.

Siamo estremamente felici ed emozionati nell'annunciare che, in meno di 24 ore dal lancio della nostra campagna di raccolta fondi, abbiamo raggiunto e superato il nostro obiettivo per ricostruire il piano cottura della cucina a Wasa. Questo straordinario risultato è stato reso possibile grazie a ognuno di voi che ha contribuito e ha condiviso la nostra missione.
Non solo abbiamo raggiunto il nostro obiettivo in tempo record, ma le donazioni continuano ad affluire in una dimostrazione straordinaria di supporto. Grazie al vostro feedback eccezionale possiamo finalmente valutare una ristrutturazione più seria e completa della cucina di Wasa.
Una delle priorità più urgenti è la ristrutturazione della cappa della cucina, che è in uno stato critico e non funzionante. Attualmente, il fumo è intrappolato all'interno, creando condizioni poco sicure per gli studenti. We are extremely happy and excited to announce that, in less than 24 hours, we reached and exceeded our goal to rebuild the kitchen stove in Wasa. This extraordinary achievement was made possible thanks to each one of you who contributed and shared our mission.
Not only did we reach our goal in record time, but donations continue to arrive showing us your extraordinary support. Thanks to your outstanding feedback we can finally consider a more serious and comprehensive renovation of the Wasa kitchen.
One of the most urgent priorities is the renovation of the kitchen hood, which is in a critical, non-functioning state. Currently, smoke is trapped inside, creating unsafe conditions for students. In order to prevent further damage and ensure long-term safety, we have decided to allocate the additional funds raised to the renovation of the hood.
Therefore, we are happy to announce that our fundraising campaign will remain open for the next 14 days as planned, with the specific purpose of investing the additional funds in the renovation of the kitchen hood. This is an important step in ensuring a safe and functional environment for Wasa students.
