What is sharing economy?
The sharing economy, or collaborative consumption, is a socio-economic system built around the sharing of goods, services and knowledge. It encourages consumer awareness, re-use and the efficient use of resources.
The sharing economy aims at creating global communities that share values such as trust and solidarity.
What is CiaoMaMi?
CiaoMaMi is a service dedicated to baby items sharing (strollers, child seat, etc…) and it originated from a discussion on sharing economy.
CiaoMaMi will be launched on the occasion of Expo 2015.
During Expo 2015, the city of Milan will receive 20 million visitors, among whom many families with children.
CiaoMaMi aims to create a simple web platform for baby items sharing, in order to give families the opportunity to visit Expo 2015, to travel without cumbersome objects and to enjoy this unique experience.
CiaoMaMi offers two advantages: mums of Milan and surrounding areas can dust all the children object off and offer them to tourist mums. In this way, tourist mums will find everything they need directly in Milan.
CiaoMaMi originated from an idea of five International Communication students at the Civica Scuola per Interpreti e Traduttori (Civic School
of Interpreters and Translators) in Milan: Alice Bariselli, Niccolò Biava, Serena Cerutti, Francesca Di Raimondo and Martina Zavattin.
Fundraising will help us to give life to our project. In particular, we will develop the web platform in order to provide the service (that we dream up). We believe that CiaoMaMi will turn Expo2015 into an unforgettable for many families.
