After years of collaboration between the Society and the Association KAIROSdanza Onlus AIAS Bologna, Simona Santonastaso decided to engage people who are looked after by their stakeholders in a project that offers them the chance to live a new experience in the world of Dance.
In 2012 was born the course of BODY EXPRESSION AND CREATIVE MOVEMENT FOR DISABLED. Initially, the course is structured in the form of monthly workshops, reaching, in 2013, to be organized according of being a real dance on a weekly basis.
The choice by the AIAS to believe in the project proposed by Simona Santonastaso, derives from the concept of dance as a means to meet and share different experiences, overcoming barriers and is proving to be the means of creating harmony, mutual empathy and give value to the equalities through the "physical dialogue", exploring their artistic and creative skills in a totally free, without bias, whether it is able or disabled.
Overcoming the barriers that relegate THE DANCE in a concept that makes it "privileged few" and instead be proving everyone's heritage and means to create mutual similarities.
The focal point of the message that is sent is based on the fact that each person has the freedom to express themselves using any means the be proposed by the personal ability, making their own limits and limitations their strength! The body is free to communicate what they have in themselves, excluding the aesthetic limitations, physical and mental, without verbal mediation.
During the meetings, the features are retrieved artistic / creative of each, through a work on musicality, mutual trust, individual expressiveness, the physical communication.
Participants are supervised by professionals, volunteers, and also by the dancers of the company directed by Simona Santonastaso, with whom meetings are scheduled specific. During these appointments, the guys accompanied by AIAS, will work closely dancers in the creation of a dance show.
Thanks to the support of the 'Association AIAS Onlus, and FAMILY PROJECT OBJECTIVE the course is already in its third year of life, but the demands of participation have increased significantly, and to allow them to continue to dance and new participants to enroll , AIAS needs to be supported as regards the costs of organization and logistics (vehicles equipped to transport wheelchairs, operators), but also necessary for the proper performance of the material (mats, fabrics, craft tools useful to work on musicality and on rhythm, etc. ..).
So that it is not necessary that the costs associated with this type of activity, a burden on families who sometimes feel compelled to have to give up their children to participate, AIAS is aimed at EPPELA and, thanks to the use and the possibility that it is offer to use this channel, asks for financial support so that the dream of these guys does not turn off and this trip will take them away.
At the end we will dance ALL TOGETHER!
