2014 November 17th - Monday 20h30
Teatro Orione - via Tortona, 3 Roma
Orfeo ed Euridice, a baroque opera, 70 performers and crew.
This production of Orfeo and Euridice by C W Gluck (1714 – 1787), brought to you by Lucio Ivaldi and the musicians of the Associazione Diapente on 17 November 2014 at the Teatro Orione, Via Tortona, 3 Rome, is based on Gluck's own 1762 Vienna production. The music will be performed on period instruments using the techniques of the late Baroque period. The soloists are young, internationally acclaimed Baroque vocalists. In contrast to the period instruments and musical setting, the production, set, choreography and costumes will be refreshingly modern.
The proceeds of the event will be given entirely to the Rotary Club's (Rome 2080 District) PolioPlus Project.
