The Story

Letrari, a family that has roots in the history of Trentino wine. Already active in 1647 in that of Borghetto d'Avio, on the banks of the Adige, first as river raftsmen, then merchants and shrewd agricultural innovators. With Leonello Letrari immediately on the wine scene of good drinking. It is thanks to him that in the immediate post-war period the wines of the Dolomites acquire character and prestige beyond the regional borders. It is always he who 'creates' the first grapes and in the 60s begins to develop fine sparkling wines. He then founded in 1976 - together with his wife Maria Vittoria - the current family business. here the text

The Territory

Shaped by the particular terroir and the microclimate of Vallagarina - an environment characterized by the Adige and influenced by the Ora del Garda, which creates a special microclimate of the Mediterranean type here - 23 different types of quality wine with strong varietal typicality are produced.

The temperate climate of the area also allows a limited and selected production of extra-virgin olive oil with an exceptional fruity stamp. The Letrari farm, with its 23 hectares of vineyards located in various locations in Vallagarina, has its headquarters in the modern and functional cellar of Rovereto, faithful in its appearance to rural Trentino architecture and surrounded by a large garden of Mediterranean species .

The philosophy

Since the foundation, all our efforts have been made in order to offer our admirers of high quality products and in the desire to transfer them the terroir and our personal philosophy on the art of making wine.

Our wines come from grapes produced in our own vineyards located in the most suitable areas of Vallagarina and Terra dei Forti.

But nothing happens by chance ... it's our payoff! Each bottle of TRENTODOC Letrari is in fact the perfect synthesis, the sweet harmony of a series of precious elements that contribute to the maximum final result.

The wines selected for Crowdwine: Trento DOC Riserva Quore

TRENTODOC vintage obtained only from Chardonnay grapes harvested exclusively by hand, with permanence on the lees for at least 40 months to enhance its soft elegance. The color is lightly golden, bright and lively. The perfume offers a range of fragrances ranging from crust, bread to vanilla tones, on a background of ripe apple cream and dried fruit.

The taste is full and round in its complexity, where the notes of the ripe fruit re-launched on a background of citrus and spices are found. A fresh and lively wine, full and solid structure, with a very persistent finish, just like its fine perlage.

To be drunk as an aperitif and worthy actor in an important lunch, or more simply for a special toast.
