What is it about?
What is the border zone? How does it work? What consequences does it imply? How do we imagine, experience and live the space of encounter and clash between us and the others?
Answering these questions here it comes the second chapter of FUORI VISIONI 6, the contemporary art festival which next spring will come back to communicate with Piacena (Italy) with a brand new team of artists and program. With the first online act we investigated the concept of the wall; with FUORI VISIONI 6 - Act II we will enter the border zone, a controversial and confrontational space which could as well become the field of new encounters and dialogues.
Through installations, workshops and performances for three days FUORI VISIONI 6 - Act II will plunge into the urban fabric of Piacenza, with a number of art interventions created by an international team of visual artists. Our goal? Not only to cross the border zone, but to experience it. To challenge our certainties and to meet the other in a space of mutual sharing. To discover the border zone not as a defensive wall, but rather as production space where new worlds can be imagined.
Are you ready to enter the border zone?
What is FUORI VISIONI?
Three days of art, performances, cinema, talks and labs: FUORI VISIONI opens the gates of an urgent and ongoing discussion, speaking the language of contemporary art.
Since 2015 FUORI VISIONI is part of the cultural network of the city of Piacenza. By choosing not to have a stable headquarter each edition becomes part of a different venue of the urban environment, promoting its beauty. At the same time it creates a chance for different modes of expression to gather together and reflect upon a given subject, which changes every year. The collaboration with international and local artists is the beating heart of FUORI VISIONI, the engine triggering new dialogues with the city.
The sixth edition of FUORI VISIONI mirrors the current scenario while responding to its needs. Our world has been transformed by the Covid-19 emergency, and we are changed too. We changed our way to experience Internet, as well as our human interactions and our connection to the city. By reflecting on the concepts of wall and border zone, FUORI VISIONI 6 aims to invite you to take possession - at least in a small part - of these dimensions, to analyze the transformations we went through by using the varied and compelling voice of contemporary art. FUORI VISIONI 6 - ACT II will therefore take place of April 2021, consistently with the timelines and procedures the Covid-19 emergency will require from us.
Art provides a point for reflection: the real change though is a collective act of awareness!
How Will The Funds be Used?
The goal of this campaign is to make FUORI VISIONI 6 - ACT II.
The first chapter was a success, both considering the number of projects produced and the amount of people we reached. Still, FUORI VISIONI is a self-funded festival which benefits of the generosity of those who believe in us. The funds we will collect during this campaign will be used to support the work of the artists invited to join us for the second act of this edition.
FUORI VISIONI 6 - ACT II will take place in the streets, squares, shops and cultural associations of Piacenza. Also, thanks to the interntational supporters who fell in love with our project, we will be able to convey some projects and art interventions in the cities of Porto and Lisboa. Your contribution is going to be essential, for it will directly support the work of an artist, performer or intellectual involved into the FUORI VISIONI 6 project. Being it a travel ticket, the purchase of materials or a simple meal during the stay in Piacenza, with your help an artist will be able to finish his/her artwork.
This is why it is so important to reach this campaign goal: to support FUORI VISIONI means to support the work of young emerging artists, becoming part of an extraordinary collective artwork!

Project created by
A living entity, performing each time in different realities to develop dialogues and reflections while conversing with those architectural spaces of the city with a story to be unfolded. A combination between space and poetry born from the urgency to create a non-space as a mean to trigger individual awareness. An experience for everybody, and at the same time directed only to those who care to start a journey inside themselves.
