What is it about?

"Viterbium - The treasure hunt | Game Series " is a web series and / or an interactive film that was created with the intention of promoting the Tuscia area in a dynamic and engaging way through the Game Series mode.

Game Series allows you to combine the active and interactive nature of the new forms of communication (the web) with the magic and spirit of the classic artistic ones (cinema or television). The episodes of the series will be visible on YouTube and, at the end of each single "episode", the viewer will decide how to continue the story.

At each stop, four choices appear in the graphic:

- One will allow you to continue the story

- Another will lead to a short documentary on one of the wonders of Tuscia

- Another will lead to an "Advertisement - GAME OVER"

- The last one will be just a trick to keep you from moving forward

Thus, the user becomes an active explorer, feeling himself the protagonist of the journey that will lead him to the discovery of History, myths and legends of the Province of Viterbo, experiencing a pleasant adventure full of amusing twists alternated with formative moments.

Through this new way of conceiving territorial marketing we want to bring the general public closer to the scientifichistorical-artisticenogastronomic and landscape dissemination of the territory of Tuscia, keeping intact the entertainment deriving from the filmic narrative.

PLOT: a group of students from the University of Tuscia, coming from the most diverse areas of Italy, are conversing in the Aula Magna of Santa Maria in Gradi. One of the boys is reading a parchment that will be discovered going back to 1500 and whose contents will convince our protagonists to think about the possibility of finding an important treasure on the Viterbo soil. The turning point will be in the interactive mode: the hypotheses on how to proceed will be multiple and it will be up to the viewer to touch the difficult choice, indicating the path to take video after video. The comic vis of the characters will allow us to tell every event, unexpected or fact that actually happened with a bright and dynamic look, so as not to ever bore the spectator even during the historical-cultural digressions; its adventurous and fantasy nature, on the other hand, will allow to bring to light the myths and stories of the province of Viterbo and to bring together in the flesh, people like La Bella Galiana, Pope Alexander IV and many others.

Who's behind the project?

The production will be entrusted to the association Universo Creativo, which, together with the university association UniVerso Giovani, the Tourist Office of Viterbo, the Istituto Alessandro IV and the Università degli Studi della Tuscia, will carry out the research of funds and the process bureaucratic. The art direction will be managed by the Trame group, a young and dynamic theater and film company, already the author of important productions such as "La Festa Triste - Game Series", a work that is receiving awards and prizes all over the world, including "Best Italian Web Series "at Tuscany Web Fest," Best Web Series "at the International Film Festival of Salerno,"Best Director"at Roma Web Fest, "Best Short 2.0" at "CiviTONICA in shorts", "Best Web Series Audience Award" at "South Film and Arts Academy Festival"; "The Phantom Opera", on the bill at the prestigious Teatro Vittoria in Rome; "Like the damned red fish", currently in post production.

The project was officially presented to all the authorities of the Province of Viterbo and the Lazio Region, to possible private investors and to the press on December 5, 2018.

How funds will be used

To achieve the series, the budget to be collected is approximately € 17,500 per installment (the financial plan can be requested by sending an email to associazioneuniversocreativo@gmail.com).

Each episode includes N.1 Episode - N.1 Documentary - N.1 Video Tranello.

The number and quality of bets will vary depending on the budget collected.

The Advertising - Game Over option will be paid by any sponsors.

The campaign has been set at 5,000 euros because it is the minimum to start the bureaucratic and advertising process to support a solid research fund. Obviously our goal is to largely overcome the minimum quota trying to reach the various steps. Our dream is to produce at least eight episodes only through crowdfunding.

Public funds and sponsors will be used to complete the budget collected through crowdfunding and increase the number and / or quality of the bets. Obviously, in this first phase, we will be able to guarantee only the realization of the episodes financed through Crowdfunding because we cannot be sure that other funds will enter in the future.

If we were to collect only the first 5,000 euros we will start the search for public funds and sponsors, obviously starting with the knowledge that it will be harder to reach a high number of bets; moreover, we will try to further promote the project and, if we were to see a good response, we could propose another Crowdfunding hoping for increased fame.
