Creation of a well of potable water in Africa
We have started this crowdfunding project with the goal to raise enough funds to build a well of potable water in Africa through the Association Charity in the World.
The entire proceeds will be totally given to the Association that will directly construct the well.

Running in Team we will challenge the brutal heat of Sahara
Mario Paonessa, Nicola Ciani, Moustapha Ahmad: we are 3 friends, we met in the desert, we have shared unforgettable moments together and together we will participate in the next edition of Marathon Des Sables (7-13 April), the most famous multistage running race, in the Sahara Desert in Morocco.
In order to give a new sense to this new challenge we have created a team and we will run together for a cause: we will collect funds for the Association Charity in the World, and we hope to get the support from all our friends, from all the people we know and from all the people who believe in us and just wish to do something good; donate any amount, even just a few Euro for each Km of our race that we will be able to run: this will help give us even more motivation to accomplish our dream and finish this tough race of 250 km.
More Information about the Association can be found on the web-site:
http://www.charityintheworld.com
The donations will go directly to Charity in the World, allowing those who will support the project to be able to access the tax benefits provided for donations to non-profit organizations.

We are 3 Ultramarathon runners with experience in several desert races: the environment where we run is extremely inhospitable; the race will be completely self sufficient and we will have to carry in our backpack all of our food, the mandatory medical kit, the survival kit and whatever is necessary to survive one week in a desert. Even the quantity of available water will be fixed and so in these moments you can understand how important sometimes even a simple drop of water can be vital and, on the other side, how much water we normally waste in our daily life.
Being 3 non-professional Ultramarathon runners, we run and train in all our free time but, training for a race like this requires a very big sacrifice and an even bigger motivation: the noble idea to run with this higher goal to see one day the construction of a well of potable water as the result of this effort pushes us to give 100% and put all our effort in these winter months of training: and also during the race we will give our best.
Here below is a brief description of our experiences in desert races:
Mario Paonessa (ITALY): Originating from Calabria, determined and stubborn, he is the strong one of the Team, the one we hope will place high in the final ranking: he is not too mentally strong and is discouraged easily if things do not go as expected and for this reason running in a team will be a big help for him!!
