What is it about?
The passion for cycling is not a simple thing to explain.
Pedaling gives you a sense of freedom and leads you to push beyond yourself without having to go back.
Even after an accident, the desire to go biking decreases, indeed, it increases many times.
We are cyclists for twenty years and have seen things that unfortunately we would never have wanted to see and lose people we would never have wanted to lose.
There have been many incidents of our roads where too many cyclists have lost their lives or much of it.
In these years we have met very strong and determined people who are back on the bicycle after an accident.
We want to let you know these people on 30 September 2017 in Turin during an event dedicated to cyclists.
Where and how the event will be...
The event will be in Turin on 30 September 2017.
We will start with the kids, educating them to pedal safely, teaching them all the rules to be observed and things to remember when riding on a bicycle, helmet, flashing lights, bell and reflectors.
This will also be useful for adults who often forget the basic principles to keep in the street.
There will then be a part of debate held by some friends who have joined us in this project and who will be able to answer any question on the bicycle, so we can compare how to improve the situation.
There will be a fun and exciting part, a Criterium for fixed-gear bikes, a discipline that is coming to Italy and Turin for the first time.
The public will spend a beautiful day dedicated to cycling in all its forms, education, information and entertainment.
The event in 3 parts...
FIRST PART OF THE EVENT DEDICATED TO CHILDREN
A first circuit will be created that will look like a road seat and will be used for the children's part, while in the circuit children will be able to ride, have fun and learn at the same time with games and activities.
SECOND PART OF THE EVENT DEDICATED TO DEBATE
The debate will take place within the park and everyone will be able to attend.
THIRD PART OF THE EVENT DEDICATED TO THE CRITERIUM
It will set up a second circuit of 1100 meters, to be repeated several times where there will be the Criterium for fixed-gear bikes.
Athletes will compete in an exciting competition that will keep the audience in suspense until the end.
We are sure that such an event will involve a large number of fans.
It will bring more audience to the world of cycling, can eliminate prejudices, hatred and fear of this wonderful sport.
How funds will be used
The funds will be used for organizing the event #GODSAVETHECYCLISTS.
Who's behind the project?
The promoter of the #GODSAVETHECYCLISTS movement is Selene Casella who with her fiancé, ex professional cyclist, and some friends, also cyclists, has decided to turn this into an event entirely dedicated to cycling.
But it's not over...
We want to know you and your stories.
We want you to tell us all the times you felt insecure riding your bike, every time you loved the bicycle and every time you hated it.
On our social pages will be published what you will send us and we will start with you!
We want everyone to be protagonists on September 30 in Turin and want to try and change the roads together.
Are you helping us?
