Participate, your contribution is worth double!

Innesto Creativo is supported by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze through Social Crowdfunders, an initiative launched in May 2016 by Siamosolidali in collaboration with Impact Hub Firenze, Guanxi Digital Consulting and Eppela platform which aims to support Non-profit organisations, through specific training, in adopting and experimenting with new fundraising tools.

Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze strongly believes in our project and has promised to double your donations. If we manage to raise €10,000 by March 2nd, it will support 50% of the campaign with another €10,000.

We finally have the opportunity to transform Michelucci's garden from a private place into a space for art, culture, and sharing for the city. Join the Campaign and we will build together a great social impact, environmental and cultural heritage project to the territory!

What is Innesto Creativo?

Located on the hills around Florence, just below Fiesole centre, this historical garden is much more than a green space. From here, you can enjoy one of the most stunning views over Florence, but what makes it truly unique is the history it contains.

Villa Il Roseto, which nowadays houses Fondazione Michelucci, was the architect Giovanni Michelucci's home-studio. From this garden, the architect could observe and meditate over the city.

Fondazione Michelucci, supported by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze, aims to regenerate the garden - giving back the territory of one of the most charming places in Florence and Fiesole.

Once the goals are achieved, Fondazione Michelucci garden will become a new space for culture, sharing, art, and beauty in the area.

Why crowdfunding and how the funds will be used?

Crowdfunding is an innovative fundraising system based on a plurality of small donations, which allows people, companies and organizations to participate in “Innesto Creativo”, in order to enhance a common good for the development of the territory.

The collected funds will be entirely used for the garden redevelopment and cultural activities promotion in collaboration with local associations.

Who's behind the project?

During the last year of his life, Giovanni Michelucci devoted his efforts to establishing a foundation which "aims to contribute to modern and contemporary urbanism and architecture researches, especially in social structures, hospitals, prisons, and school issues."

Giovanni Michelucci, great protagonist of modern architecture, has designed some of the most iconic Italian projects of the 20th century including San Giovanni Battista’s Church known as the "Chiesa dell’Autostrada" in Campi Bisenzio, and Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence.

Fondazione Michelucci is a vital research centre created by Michelucci in his home-studio where you can still admire the furniture, drawings, and maquettes of his architectural projects, all designed by the architect himself.

Let us introduce ourselves

The team is composed by:

Who are the parties involved?

- CARTAVETRA: Association created by a group of illustrators and artists who work in Tuscany. "Our goal is to give voice to those who use the image as communication, in an area that ranges freely between drawing, visual arts and design."

- BOTTEGA INSTABILE: Cultural association which promotes theatre. "To remember that art is not just one thing. There is not only one way of creating theatre, but around it there is a meticulous, precise, almost handiwork, like in a bottega."

- QUARTETTO DELFICO: An association that coordinates and promotes string quartet activities with original instruments. The association's work is essentially based on research over the classical Italian quartet repertoire on which a large part of the artistic ensemble is based.

- ARK KOSTRUENDO: Architecture university collective. It promotes participative self-made projects and installations.

- NO DUMP: Association that develops art installations according to the philosophy of waste material recovery. It has previously participated in several events creating installations, street furniture, cultural performances, and meetings with the public.

- POMAIO: Collective formed in 2014, which aims to propose a voluntary collective design model to address complex social and environmental issues which increasingly occur in the contemporary city.

Annamaria Vassalle as artistic curator, and Manuel Salvietti as photography workshop director will take part in the project too.
